Dawn Lagmay

Dawn Lagmay is a skilled political professional adept at leveraging data analytics to drive impactful change. As a Data-Narrative-Action (DNA) Fellow at AAPI Data and APIAVote, she spearheaded in-depth analysis of historical Asian American Voter Survey data, unveiling critical trends and informing strategic decision-making. Concurrently, she serves as a Democracy Associate at the Local Policy Lab, contributing to the nonprofit startup’s mission to support local governments in enhancing democratic practices.

With a background in political science and data analytics from UC San Diego, Dawn brings a holistic approach to her work, combining technical expertise with a passion for social justice. Her previous roles include Deputy Field Director for Mike Levin for Congress (CA-49), where she led volunteer coordination and campaign outreach, and Summer Intern for the Office of Assemblymember Blanca E. Rubio, where she engaged in legislative research and advocacy. Leveraging her professional skills in policy analysis and proficiency in RStudio and Python, Dawn aims to channel her fervor for campaign work into driving meaningful community engagement and innovation through her role at Team CivX.

In her free time, Dawn enjoys dancing hula at her local hālau with her sister, niece, and nephew. She is also an avid concert goer and nature enthusiast who finds joy in hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors.
